Their complete lack of concern for a client/patient who abruptly stops medication and therapy is quite heartwarming. It is very difficult to try and reach a human via phone. My mental issues actually increased do to the time and energy I wasted with Renewed Foundations! Mark Kramer

Please realize that while the provider is a “doctor”, she is a nurse practitioner with a PhD, not a psychiatrist. She is very nice at the first visit , but subsequently she seems mainly motivated by money. She never remembers your name or why you are there for a visit. She seems disinterested and will prescribe the most expensive medication and “medical marijuana” cards for sale at a premium. If you google her, she also has a side job doing Botox. Not a legit mental health professional unless you just want a prescription for weed, which you can find elsewhere for cheaper. We have found another provider that actually seems to care. Would not recommend. I would give negative stars, if possible, since she takes advantage of people in crisis.

I was kick out of my appoitment with no referral based on asking if she is a christian so i could explain to her about my promblems.She threw up her hands twice saying idk but they have front desk handing out christian info and even invites to church, but she did not want to listen to my christian based experience on why i cant deal with people and anti social.Very rude and disrespectful when people try to get help.Seem like they only want to prescribe meds and receive there money .No recommendations for meds that dont work or have the the mindset to work with mental health paitents.I would never go here if i knew this.They dont care about the patients just how much money they can burn your insurance up for.

I've only been seeing Dr Alston a few months however in the short time frame, she has been very relatable and approachable. I'm not uncomfortable in sharing information and opening up which is very important. I am worried about having one or sadly multiple more mental health issues but I can't get treated or no for sure until I have three to four hour long testing at a different site unrelated to Dr. Alston, however referred from her. But due to insurance and money I can't get it done for months at least so that is disappointing as it gets delayed for any kind of real knowledge of my issues and answers to no fault of the Doctor. Just something other patients may want to be aware of to maybe start looking for that testing. I don't know a lot about the testing and what it test for in particularly but thought I'd mention. The receptionist has been kind and cordial although I haven't had much interaction. My first appointment was not a good one as I got lost there after waiting for a babysitter whom I've never had before for my two kids. I've been waiting to get some kind of help and answers for a long time but because of no help and husband being out to sea More than half their lives, it's been hard to seek help or get in anywhere. Took a long time to get appointment or to find her and of course I screw it up somehow. It was late about 5 minutes or so and then because I have personal awful issues with childbirth, I cannot sit and hold my bathroom duties. So while waiting a few minutes I thought it would be okay to ask as there was no one else there to run to the bathroom. Very frustrating for myself, I had to sit there and be in pain while in the bathroom and I can't just get up because of reasons I won't explain but it is very hard for me to use the bathroom now. And you feel like you haven't used it so I was in there a little too long I guess. When I came out she said that the appointment was now canceled. I asked if we could just not be an hour appointment and just still pay for it but have it be 40 minutes and she said it had to be an hour. It was then scheduled for yet another month out. So that was quite an embarrassing first appointment and I didn't plan on coming back after that. However, I still decided to and I'm glad as I have had no issues and Dr Austin has listened and been kind and has tried to help me more than others thus far. So I look forward to continuing my relationship with her and hoping this is finally the Doctor that will listen and help!

Terrinda is incredibly knowledgeable! Having been on medication since I was 9, I can confidently say she's the best psychiatrist I've encountered as an adult. She truly listens and shows genuine care for me as an individual, not just a patient. Her patience and openness to my medication suggestions make our sessions productive. Punctual and accessible, scheduling with her is highly recommended!
